There are Christmas albums, and then there are Christmas albums. "ChristmasAD - The First Snow" is an outstanding collection of instrumental Christmas music that's appeal is that everyone is going to enjoy it!
A good Christmas album should contain some old classics plus some familiar pop titles to warm you on a cold winter evening as you sit by the fireside. So on this collection there are eight favourites, expertly re-imagined, plus eleven brand new Christmas songs that perfectly reflect the Christmas spirit.
"The Dancing Snowman" by David Wright & Geigertek is delightfully OTT and perfectly starts proceedings, and what follows is pure bliss! Steve Barnes and RamsayGee provide real romantic heart with five beautiful pieces: Steve's being the classic favourites "Little Town of Bethlehem", "Good King Wenceslas" and "God Rest ye Merry Gentlemen" and Gareth's being the sublime self penned "First Snow" and "Season's Wish". Catalin Marin returns with his epic, ethnic influenced "A Star in the East", and new artists Claudio Merlini and The Pels Syndicate contribute a stunning melodic track each with "Christmas Wonderland" and "Xmas5" respectively. Richard Bone provides two glorious covers in "Do You Hear What I Hear" and "Donde Esta Santa Claus?" while Acheloo and Robert Fox provide beautifully moody interpretations of "White Christmas" and "Silent Night". Al Rudd's "The Magic of Christmas?" provides the albums glorious "Tim Burton" influenced moment (think "A Nightmare at Christmas"!) while Lord of the Ants provides an atmospheric acoustic number that perfectly reflects "Christmas In New York". David Wright's rhythmic electronic version of "We Three Kings" and Bekki Williams beautifully orchestrated "Where is Santa?" end the album perfectly. The sound of children's laughter briefly open and close the album, reminding us perhaps that Christmas is about peace and good will reflected in the joy and laughter of innocence.
The collective artists on AD Music have really excelled here, presenting an emotive and memorable collection of Christmas tunes that delicately, and without exception, successfully walk the line between feel good melodic music and contemporary, creative, classically influenced new age/electronic music. Beautifully recorded and produced, this is one classy album that is destined to run and run.
Christmas Music for the 21st Century perhaps?
A superb collection of contemporary chilled, rhythmic electronica from Frank Pels, aka 'The Pels Syndicate' that will get your foot tapping as you're carried along on a series of superbly constructed and well recorded soundscapes. Frank has a very direct approach to his music, presenting a creative style that is melodic, original and to the point. It's music without fuss, connecting immediately with a hypnotic simplicity that is in fact, anything but simple, because the music is complex, expertly crafted and hugely satisfying, with each track a superb vignette. Frank's TV soundtrack roots are clearly evident throughout and this really is 'music for your minds own soundtrack' as the 14 musical gems cleverly remain a 'whole' concept album.
From the delightful opening chords of "Searchlight" through the ethereal chill of tracks like "Eclectic Electric" & "Invisible Cinema", the playful "Yellow in 64" or the sensual moods of tracks like the awesome "Smooth Night Life", "Cinematic Blue" is an impressive electronic music debut. It's full of 'feel good' music that will leave you smiling and reaching for the replay button. Visit the Pel Syndicate Artist Page
'Endless Night' is a 6 track 'EP' of original studio material with vocals, recorded for Geigertek's 2010 UK "Artificial 01" electronica concert performance. For reference, the music is in the Geigertek style of instrumental music, albeit darker and with more confident and mature arrangements plus the addition of Neil's vocals, heavily influenced by John Foxx, Kraftwerk and The Human League.
The music went down a storm in concert, proving that traditional sequenced electronic music and the more contemporary vocal electronica can easily co-exist. From the opening , foot tapping and moody "The Visitors" and the equally atmospheric "This Man", with it's excellent vocoded vocals, through the up-tempo "Youth" to the frenetic climax, "How Do You Dream", Geigertek shows us a whole new side to his talents with six strong 'songs' and vocals to match, that are not only engaging, but have instant and pleasing familiarity.

Sensational electronic music album from Claudio Merlini. Melodic and hugely emotive, this album oozes real class and style. Claudio has a unique and captivating sound, leaning toward 80's synth music and with clear influences like Tangerine Dream, Vangelis and Jean Michel Jarre. But, these are only noted for reference, because the music is contemporary and has its own very clear identity. The album contains superb arrangements and a haunting beauty encapsulated in some truly wonderful themes and a terrific sense of motion. The music also has an astonishing blend of innocence and maturity, and it is that unusual combination that makes the music so instantly likeable and will enable this talented Italian musician to have broad appeal across the electronic and new age genres. The album also contains a track called "Travellers In Time", which is probably one of the most beautiful tracks you're ever likely to hear, anywhere!

“Dreamscape” is an impressive album from our Norwegian composer, offering up a powerful and moody excursion into the filmic, atmospheric and slow building side of his style that was so successful on the excellent 2008 debut, “The White Peak”. Indeed, as good as that album was, “Dreamscape” is a far more focussed and self assured work, presenting an original and evocative 60 minutes of melodic, layered synth and vocal textures. There are some effective rhythm and sequence sections throughout and these are used both sparingly and to great effect as the interesting musical ideas, great themes and clever changes of pace gently lead the listener through the 10 musical soundscapes. Wim has cleverly built upon his obvious strengths from the first album and “Dreamscapes” is one very classy offering indeed! Will appeal to fans of electronic space music and melodic new age

"Night Music" is the 5th volume in the essential "Best of Series" taken from the AD Music catalogue. The music has been carefully chosen to reflect mysterious journeys of discovery, so this compilation features emotionally inspired soundscapes of ambient space music that highlights the diversity the label has to offer. "Night Music" continues the depth and beauty you've come to expect from this excellent compilation series and it is sure to become your own personal soundtrack of the mind.
Journey to new and uncharted worlds through the tranquil and ethereal soundscapes the artists create. This is beautiful and absorbing ambient space music and another extraordinarily good collection.
More than three years in the making, Nyx is a technical and musical masterpiece! Full of stunning rhythmic, sequencer style music, it's highly modern and original, yet paradoxically, reminds us of those glorious bygone days of moogs, mellotrons and a sense of electronic music adventure. The two Davids, Wright & Massey, use their Callisto project pseudonym to express a shared teutonic musical vision, so heavily influenced by Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze, Kraftwerk and Jean Michelle Jarre. Yet cleverly, Callisto haven't forgotten that those icons of the genre included a great sense of atmosphere, emotion and musical structure.
So "Nyx" contains complex sequences and driving rhythms plus tremendous musical ideas and structure; four epic tracks that weave a magical spell for a colossal 76 minutes. This really is one classy album, utilising the latest computer technology alongside classic analog synths of the past. If you thought the 2004 offering "Signal to the Stars" was good, just wait until you feast on this unbelievable follow-up. Destined to be a genuine electronic music classic!

An album full of pure magic!
The Timeless Mind is a compelling new work that may leave you just a little surprised at how far removed it is from the 2008 debut "The Garden". Putting aside the fact that "The Timeless Mind" sounds really great courtesy of the added mix and mastering input of Callisto (Dave Massey & David Wright), musically the album has progressed some distance from the new age leanings of the debut outing to a more sophisticated and evolving electronic music style, while still retaining the classical and melodic, emotive musical canvas that is so indicative of Geigertek. Tracks like "What Dreams May Come", "Until the end of Time" and "In Another Light" all exude a wonderful ethereal passion with gorgeous atmospherics behind effective sequencing to drive the tracks along. However the highlight is undoubtably the stunning "Spirit Walking" with its punchy rhythms and catchy theme that'll have you reaching for the repeat button and humming the tune long after the chords have drifted off into space. A really fine effort and deserving of a wide audience to hear it!
Callisto played their first Hampshire Jam Festival on October 31st 2009. This download album is a record of that performance. David Wright Wright was joined by Neil 'Geigertek' Fellowes (who replaces Dave Massey for live performances - DM doesn't do 'live').
Despite David Wright injuring knee ligaments during the set up, the performance went down a storm with the audience. The Tangerine Dreams style melodic sequencer music comprised extended versions of two tracks from the forthcoming Callisto studio album "NYX" scheduled for February 2010 release, and the extended live performance is an excellent companion to the studio album. Some post production work has been done to the recording, which has been edited from the original room and house recordings and the rehearsal performances.
The music calmly washes over the listener, and titles like "Constant Perceptions","The Semblance of a Dream" & "Impalpable Shadow of Evening" are space music gems that drift effortlessly by just as the titles imply. You're transported to vistas both mysterious and beautiful by the incredible pull of the music that retains interest without ever actually breaking into a discernible melody. Unique, extraordinary and utterly brilliant!
"Digital Nights" presents a majestic musical soundscape that definitely fits into the "journey" category, where the ethnic rhythms are integrated into the more contemporary electronica motifs to startling effect. The variety of sounds and styles attained is quite remarkable and the overall feel is one of excitement and anticipation as the listener is taken on a dazzling musical trek that'll leave your head spinning, but also hitting the replay button to go round again.
Rhythms are the order of the day here, verging from electronica to rock to tribal rhythms and back again. But there is also some wonderfully delicate and hauntingly atmospheric work too, all held together by the superb musicianship of those involved. There are some terrific themes that'll have you humming the tunes long after the music has faded into space, and with one song flowing seamlessly into another, both albums have an epic feel about them that brings to mind some of the best contemporary thematic albums in both the electronic and the prog rock genres in the past 25 years.
The second release by newcomer Ramsaygee is as exiting and diverse as the first. Once again, a varied rhythmic palette is presented that has interesting and catchy world drum and percussion influences both electronic and real. Guitars and vocal textures are again sprinkled with care as the musical vistas remind us of other cultures, and the wide variety of styles has a sense of excitement and journeying to far off lands.
Ramsaygee imbues his creations with strong themes and catchy melodies that are sometime gentle, other times epic and always engrossing. But there is also a strong sense of drama in some of the works and some engrossing atmospherics. Everything is held together by superb keyboard work by Ramsaygee and the excellent musicianship of everyone else involved. The interlinking tracks give a strong contemporary, thematic feel to the album and like the first album, "Exotique" is a unique and original offering.
This download album gathers the original studio recordings of the momentous Code Indigo album "Timecode" as composed by David Wright & Robert Fox. The album includes previously unreleased music and the original unreleased versions of some of the music to be found on the Time Code album. It is a fascinating insight into the compositional process, showing the original compositions and how they differ from the eventual album release. Much of the music was recorded live and edited to review for inclusion in the Code Indigo Timecode project, so there is a real spontaniety and live feel to it all that makes the whole album wonderfully compelling.
The 15 BT tracks are interlinked to produce one drifting electronic space music epic and it's much, much more than just a rough draft - here are the original, sometime quite inspired instrumental music performances of tracks like "24am" and "Call of the Earth", plus beautiful additional pieces that never made the final album simply because of the time constraints and the sheer amount of excellent material composed. And in the bonus "Timecode Exodus" track, you'll hear further alternate versions and arrangements. This collection shows just how prolific Wright & Fox were during this period and is a worthy companion to the "TimeCode" album itself, and most definitely worthy of release.
Composed by David Wright & Robert Fox 2002-2003
Edited, Arranged and produced by David Wright 2009
Sines of Life Volume 2 is a collection of tracks that were either unreleased live tracks, commissioned pieces, or music that never made it on to CD albums due to time constraints or because the tracks didn't quite fit the feel of those albums. But they are all tracks the artist would like to have seen released.
So this epic 135 minutes download is a fascinating and varied collection of music from David Wright.
David's 20th solo album is a melodic and gently rhythmic journey highlighting some of his recent live UK and USA performances alongside new studio recordings.
The album features guest musicians including Ian Boddy and Klaus Hoffmann-Hoock and the live music arrangements are completely different versions of the studio originals.

This is an album of sublime space music; rhythmic, but with both artists very much in a chilled mode. Fans will no doubt have great fun trying to determine "who did what" but one thing for certain is that this is electronic music of the very highest quality, and the creative efforts of these highly respected instrumental music composers has produced a sensational album of varied electronica that is sure to please and surprise and garner plaudits from fans and media alike.
The first four long tracks explore gently rhythmic and beautiful textured soundscapes with a modern edge. The production is sublime and apart from sounding (obviously) very much like an amalgam of the two artists involved, the music occasionally nods gently in the direction of Tangerine Dream, Kraftwerk and Vangelis while always remaining true to the individual styles of Boddy & Wright, and more importantly, to the unique new sound this terrific collaboration has produced. The shorter 6 minutes closer "Comets" is an unashamed foot-tapping synth music stomper that'll make your hi-fi speakers rattle.
Boddy/Wright album extract
"New Day" is an exquisite contemporary instrumental music album from Steve Barnes, better known for his Trance music during the 1990's. His debut release for AD Music is a superbly produced and very smooth excursion into romantic new age style electronica that may be a long way from his former Trance/Dance music days, but as you would expect, has all the hallmarks of a seasoned composer and producer who knows how to construct a tune and convey the emotion and atmosphere required to keep the listener interested.
"New Day" contains 11 tracks of soothing and drifting electronica that features superbly played piano and acoustic guitar themes over the most chilled of rhythms. There is a warmth here that is almost sensual; melancholy yet uplifting; contemplative yet always involving; beautiful but not sugary. "New Day" is one of those albums that will be on repeat play as you discover the wonderful depth and subtlety in Steve's emotional and dreamlike music. The delicate, melodic piano themes are infectious and will gently caress you, putting you under a spell that will find you gently tapping your feet as the chilled rhythms come in to play. Whilst there are clearly nods to the likes of Mike Oldfield, Ludovico Einaudi and Debussy, "New Day" remains an original album with a clear identity that is both beautiful and incredibly rewarding.

This stunning double album is already being hailed as the best Code Indigo work too date. Compiled from the groups live appearances in the UK and Europe between 2004 and 2006, culminating in the e-live festival in Holland and the UK Fisher Theatre appearance, "In Concert" is the definitive record of a band in perfect harmony, performing at the peak of their combined creative and musical talents.
"Code Indigo In Concert" perfectly captures the live energy, excitement and warmth of one of the UKs premier electronic rock bands, making it a "must have" for any Code Indigo fan, or indeed, any lover of original instrumental rock music with melody, soul and purpose.

This is a wonderfully dark, but at the same time beautiful album of ambient electronica. From the opening moments of "Earths Mistress" with its menacing John Carpenter style sequence, the listener is hooked. Strangely ethereal and cosmic, this is music for dark nights with the lights dimmed; haunting and hauntingly beautiful, yet somehow menacing without ever being unsettling. Carlo Luzi's superb musical soundscapes walk the thin line between the creative genius of new music and genuinely superb creative atmospheric music without ever allowing the listeners attention to wonder. Indeed, it's the ability of the composer to keep the listener transfixed that is the true testament to the music's brilliance.
"The Fate of Everything" and "Nimbus of Stars" are both excursions into atmospheric electronica, recalling early Tangerine Dream, while "Ishtar" parts one and two gently caress the senses with sounds and exquisite nuances that drift effortlessly by in classic ambient electronica style. Just like the superb "Sirens" album, Carlo's excellent guitar and percussion add a dimension to the music that lifts it way above similar music of the genre. An absolute gem!
"Sirens" is an ambient electronic music album of genuine passion. Beautifully produced and cosmic on an epic scale, the music washes over the listener as if floating in a sea of tranquility and calm.
However, this is not your usual ambient fare. It is a superb and quite unique mixture of electronics and guitar with wonderful nuances of sound. The music weaves between soundscapes of beauty, calm, cosmic spaces and dark emptiness that crosses between the mysterious visions of early Tangerine Dream and the cosmic landscapes of 'Dreamtime Return' by Steve Roach.
The seven tracks on Sirens all have an 'edge' that is so often missing in this genre of music, and that edge is supplied by the colour and variation of Carlo's superb guitar or reed percussion. The listener is left floating serenely; a female voice in the distance, guitar textures imbuing the music with a mixture of dark and light, colour and shade, beauty and melancholy. The musical journey drifts and sways effortlessly, but never loses sight of its purpose. Sirens is a masterpiece of ambient electronic music.
The early albums of Robert Fox, in particular his journey style albums, conjured up visions of faraway places with epic soundscapes that somehow captured the essence of places like Canada and Australia on "A Gathering of Spirits" and "Blue Mountains Suite", or mythical and personal journeys on classic albums like "Asfafa", "The Fire and the Rose" and "Into the Light." In recent years, Robert Fox has released a diverse selection of albums that has seen his music develop to encompass darker shades in his soundtrack music, but he also developed a gentler, more accessible and melodic side to his compositions that began to appear on the excellent "Talking Heads" and developed through to the more recent "Touching the Serpents Tail" and that has now matured magnificently on "Evergreen".
Make no mistake, "Evergreen" is a majestic tour de force from Robert Fox. A stunningly beautiful and evocative album, full of emotion and a whole load of memorable and haunting themes that re-affirms his status as one of the UK finest electronic musicians. Robert Fox has returned to his roots with; "Evergreen" quite literally, by adding another superb journey style album to his canon in the true spirit of his early releases, but taking his inspiration not from foreign lands, but from his own very personal impression of his homeland, England. The album has the feel of a seasoned and mature traveller, finally returning home and at ease with himself and his music. Absolutely stunning!
Lush, symphonic and rhythmic music that flows from one track to the next with consummate ease. Musically David incorporates electronic music with guitar and vocal textures to produce a varied sonic journey that surprises and delights from beginning to end. Hailed as the best DW album too date by fans and critics alike.
This superb creation is an exciting mixture of electronic music sounds and styles that has its roots firmly in the "melodic new age" style of instrumental music, with strong hints of romanticism and no shortage of great tunes.
However, where Geigertek really succeeds is in creating his own unique style and sound based on solid musical arrangements, some great solos, both synth and piano, and some inventive sequencing.
A quite beautiful and emotionally rewarding debut album from Dhyanam, who brings us his own unique, gently laid back style of electronic, new age instrumental music. "Deep Embrace" is yet another treat for lovers of melodic music as Dyhanam's diverse musical palette weaves it magical spell creating a diverse yet totally cohesive range of instrumental music that embrace classical, cosmic, gently rhythmic and Tomita style up tempo pieces. Dhyanam has created his own unique style and sound here, while his approach to composing is one of letting the melody lead the way.
That philosophy is evident throughout his compositions, which are full of heartfelt melodies, interwoven with synthesizer sounds and rhythms that create a richly woven melodic electronic tapestry, that is deceptively intricate in its simplicity. From the classically influenced "The Source" through to the compelling and moody "Silent Talk", Dhyanam has created a gorgeous and quite eclectic new age electronic music album full of romanticism and mystery that's a fine addition to the AD Music catalogue.
AD Music continues to find superb new talent and this astonishing debut album by Norwegian artist Wim has already garnered many plaudits from the EM fraternity since its digital release in July 2008. A well constructed, well recorded and emotively compelling work that combines a variety of tempos and styles combining sequences, rhythms, atmospherics and memorable themes that recall all that is best in electronic music. Wim's music has many influences, from our own Robert Fox and David Wright, to Tangerine Dream and Hans Zimmer, and those influences are clearly evident throughout this excellent album.
But Wim has developed his own unique signature sound and style to produce a totally cohesive and satisfying album with a warmth and emotion that draws the listener in. The originality of the music here is quite exceptional as the artist employs great themes on tracks like Econ but is also willing to stretch himself with adventurous impressionistic pieces like the fabulous title track. "The White Peak" is an excellent release with many high points that is recommended for lovers of quality electronic music.

Momentum is a gorgeous studio re-imagining of new music performed by David Wright at his USA Gatherings concert in September 2007. His music and performance that night garnered many plaudits and it’s no surprise that it has been reworked in the studio for CD release.
The gently evolving, journey style offering is laced with atmospherics and underpinned with gentle percussion and sequences that builds rhythmically as the album progresses.
The two 35 minute pieces are split into 13 parts with interlinking themes that hold the listeners attention from beginning to end and stylistically, follows the trend set with recent epic tracks like “Cassini” and “Sea of Dreams”.
After his long association with the theatre, at last, a Robert Fox soundtrack materializes as a Digital/CD release. And as a theatre soundtrack precipitated the start of his involvement with electronic music, then it's fitting that such a stunningly original work should bring us full circle.
The music on Adonai was created to accompany some very powerful imagery and action and it will do the same in the mind of the listener. But don't be put off by the "soundtrack" tag, Adonai is a "complete" album, deliberately emotive and hugely cinematic in places, and typically Robert Fox at his boldest and most creative.
"Culture Shift" is a rhythmic, global journey which is full of deep emotion and memorable themes and transcends cultures and styles. Uriel loves soundtrack music and his influences include our own Code Indigo and Hans Zimmer, and these influences are clearly evident on "Culture Shift" without ever detracting from Uriel's own identity and style.
The 4th studio album is a topical musical statement of immense creativity, power and beauty that cleverly merges electronic, ambient
and classic rock music like only Code Indigo can.
With no vocals this time out, Andy Lobbans superb guitar takes centre stage and the album has a definite FWTB 'concept' feel to it, mixing
samples, dark atmospherics plenty of light and shade and more than a few creative surprises. Dave Massey adds majestic rhythms while
Wright & Fox's musical input has never been more striking.
A truly sensational release!

The eagerly awaited new album from Bekki Williams is a tour de force! From the beautiful opening track "A
Breath Away" to the heartfelt closing "Fading", this album will, quite literally, 'take your breath away' and leave
you pressing the repeat button time and time again.
This album really has been worth the wait and it will touch those parts of your soul that most other music can never hope to reach!
Quite simply a gem!
The music contained on "Edge of Human" is typically Bekki Williams, building on her style of supreme melody and uncluttered production, while concentrating as much on the synthetic as the symphonic, with a touch more of the dynamic, thereby adding even more creativity, warmth and depth to her emotive compositions. This album again sees Bekki, an accomplished flautist, playing flute on her compositions and also features guitar by Paul Barraclough.
"Edge of Human" is full of warm, rich melodies, lush orchestration, creative energy and intricate sequencing that also pulls together elements from her three previous albums to present a delight for fans of her music. It may have been a long time in the making, but we think you'll agree, "Edge of Human" is a triumphant release, rich in substance and style that confirms Bekki stature as one of the leading composers of top quality, melodic instrumental music.

"Ocean of Light" is an excellent introduction to the artists on AD Music. The CD is primarily
a compilation of previously released tracks, (although there are 2 unreleased pieces) with a coherence defined by the label's
vision and style. No ambient doodling here and no sugar sweet, new age wallpaper music either.
It contains music with infectious melodies, ambient textures, cinematic tones, jazz tinged textures, dynamic soundscapes and powerful,
strident themes that demonstrate the versatility and diversity of the AD stable of artists.
"If you like music to be creative, to be different enough that it doesn't fall easily into a category, to have depth and purpose, then
you should find the music we have to offer just what you're looking for." review Synthtopia
