AD Music - World & Ethnic Music

This page contains examples of the more contemporary, ethnic influenced style of electronica music to be found in the AD Music catalogue that could be classified as World Music. Sometimes the music will feature ethnic instruments and vocal themes with more ethnic rhythmic elements. Often the tracks are shorter in structure than traditional electronic music and the music is all ethnically influenced to one degree or another. What links them is AD Music's commitment to produce high quality instrumental music that transcends genres.

AD Music was founded in 1989 by David Wright as a vehicle for his solo music and merged with Robert Fox's FX Music soon afterwards. During the 1990's AD Music established a reputation for producing high quality instrumetal, electronica, ambient and space music with an expanding catalogue and artist roster. The labels philosophy has always been to follow its own path, not current trends; building on rather than emulating the current and historical electronica. The label now covers all forms of electronic music, including melodic chill out, new age music, space music and even trance music.
